TechBobcat, doing business as TechBobcat, takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect through https://www.techbobcat.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It follows Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, Quebec's Law 25.
TechBobcat is responsible for the personal information we hold. Our privacy contact is reachable at techbobcat.help@gmail.com or by mail at [Mailing address: not set].
We do not collect more than we need, and we do not buy personal information from other companies.
We use your information for these purposes with your consent, or where the law allows or requires it. If you checked out as a guest, we still need your details to fulfil that order.
We do not send marketing emails unless you clearly ask us to. Order emails are not marketing.
When you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with GitHub", the provider tells us your email address, your name and your profile picture. We use your email address to create your account and to recognise you when you come back. We do not use your name or picture for anything else, we do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone except the service providers listed below that store it for us. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see "Your choices and rights").
Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We share information only with the companies and people who help us run the store, and only what they need:
We do not sell your personal information.
Our service providers may store and process information in Canada and in other countries, including the United States. When your information is outside Canada, it can be accessed by courts and authorities there under their laws. We choose providers that use security safeguards.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
We use encrypted connections, restricted database access, locked-down server keys, and two-factor sign-in for staff. Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it. Staff actions in the admin area are logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires, and we keep a record of every breach.
You can ask us to:
Email techbobcat.help@gmail.com. We may need to confirm it's you first. We reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, if you live in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
You must be at least 16 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through accounts. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use only what the site needs to work: a sign-in session, your saved cart, and the human check that protects forms. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our cookie notice.
We use automated tools to block bots and repeated failed sign-ins. If your access is blocked by mistake, contact us and a person will look at it.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If the change is important, we will tell account holders.
